This course has no entry requirements, however the learner must be employed and be working in a Site Manager or similar role in order to satisfy the assessment criteria of the qualification.

To gain this qualification, you must attain a total of 20 Units, comprising 19 MANDATORY UNITS and 1 OPTIONAL UNIT.

The TOTAL QUALIFICATION TIME (TQT) for this Award is 2210 hours, including a minimum of 857 GUIDED LEARNING HOURS (GLH).

*GLH = time spent carrying out activities under the immediate guidance or supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor, including assessment if under supervision.

*TQT = GLH + preparation, study or other learning activities directed by, but not under the immediate guidance of, a lecturer, supervisor or tutor.

You will be assessed by a qualified NVQ assessor against a set of performance and knowledge statements derived from the National Occupational Standards in the relevant occupational area.

Under instruction from your assessor, you are required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit within the qualification. This qualification is graded as Pass/Fail.

Black card

Successful completion of this Diploma means you pass the requirements to apply for a Black (Manager’s) CSCS Card.

It also enables you to gain supervisory and management positions within the workplace, since industry will accept the qualification on its own as entry to a job role.
