This course has no entry requirements, however the leaner must be employed, capable of fulfilling the assessment criteria at this level and have access to an on-site working environment in order to satisfy the Onsite Assessment and Training (OSAT) element of this qualification.

You must attain a minimum of 7 Units to gain this qualification, comprising all 6 MANDATORY UNITS and at least 1 OPTIONAL UNIT.

  • Implement Contract Work in Construction
  • Integrate and Control Project Design Information in Construction
  • Monitor, Maintain and Improve Supplies of Materials in Construction
  • Prepare and Monitor Costs and Accounts in Construction
  • Prepare Drawings and Schedules in Construction
  • Prepare For and Carry Out Physical Testing in Construction
  • Prepare For Work Operations in Construction
  • Prepare For, Collect, Analyse and Present Survey Data in Construction
  • Prepare Proposals and Obtain Feedback for the Provision of Products and Services in Construction
  • Recommend and Monitor Supplies of Plant and Equipment in Construction
  • Record the Condition of Property in Construction

The TOTAL QUALIFICATION TIME (TQT) for this Award is 940 hours, including a minimum of 320 GUIDED LEARNING HOURS (GLH).

*GLH = time spent carrying out activities under the immediate guidance or supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor, including assessment if under supervision.

*TQT = GLH + preparation, study or other learning activities directed by, but not under the immediate guidance of, a lecturer, supervisor or tutor.

You will be assessed by a qualified assessor against a set of performance and knowledge statements derived from National Occupational Standards in the occupational field of construction contracting operations to NVQ Level 3.

Under instruction from your assessor, you are required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit within the qualification.

Successful completion of this Diploma means you pass the requirements to apply for a Gold (Supervisory) CSCS Card

It also enables you to gain supervisory and management positions within the workplace, since industry will accept the qualification on its own as entry to a job role.
