This NVQ Level 6 in Construction Contracting Operations Management assesses your ability to work as a competent and efficient Contracts Manager, covering everything from work allocation to chairing meetings and managing contract accounts.
This course has no entry requirements, however the learner must be employed and be working in a contracts manager or similar role in order to satisfy the requirements of the qualification.
You must attain a minimum of 81 Credits to gain this qualification, comprising all 31 credits from the 4 MANDATORY UNITS and a minimum of 50 credits from at least 3 OPTIONAL UNITS.

The TOTAL QUALIFICATION TIME (TQT) for this Award is 810 hours, including a minimum of 245 GUIDED LEARNING HOURS (GLH).
*GLH = time spent carrying out activities under the immediate guidance or supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor, including assessment if under supervision.
*TQT = GLH + preparation, study or other learning activities directed by, but not under the immediate guidance of, a lecturer, supervisor or tutor.
You will be assessed by a qualified NVQ assessor against a set of performance and knowledge statements derived from National Occupational Standards in the relevant occupational area.
Under instruction from your assessor, you are required to produce a Portfolio of Evidence showing how you have met the performance and knowledge criteria for each unit within the qualification. This qualification is not graded.
Successful completion of this Diploma means you pass the requirements to apply for a Black (Manager’s) CSCS Card, as well as providing a route into CIOB membership.
It also enables you to gain supervisory and management positions within the workplace, since industry will accept the qualification on its own as entry to a job role.
